My Essential Kit
Canon 5D Mark III
This is my main body and an excellent full frame camera. It’s the nicest full frame camera I’ve owned in years.
Zeiss Distagon 35MM F/1.4 ZE
The 35mm is a true journalist lens and street photography favorite. The Zeiss optics are simply the best! Simply put, this lens never leaves my bag.
This is an incredibly fast wide angle lens and a favorite for landscape photography.
This lens gets used a lot when I need a little extra reach. It’s great for sports, street photography and portrait work.
Zeiss 50mm f/1.4
This can be considered a classic lens in any kit. It is compact, crisp and creates a beautiful bokeh at large apertures. Great for portraits and street photography.
Lee Filter Digital Kit
These are the best filters I’ve ever owned. The graduated neutral density filter is a must have for landscape photographers.
If there's room…
This is my main back up camera and let me tell you, if it was full-frame I would probably pick it over the 5D Mark II. The quality of the images is simply stunning and the video is incredible.
This was the first “L” series lens I bought and is an excellent all around lens.
This is an incredible portrait lens and the quality of it’s bokeh is amazing.
This prime lens does and incredible job with macro photography and takes great portraits as well.
Canon 1.4x extender
When you need a little reach but want to travel light, this is your answer.
Canon 2x extender
Just like the 1.4x, this is the answer when you need a little reach but want to travel light.
It’s small, easy to set up and essential part of my lighting kit.
