How lucky for me that I've discovered your blog! First, your photography is inspirational, beautiful, and a lot of it is B&W! Ya! Secondly, your blog is appealing, informational, and well, something I'd like to read frequently. Can't wait to dig into more of your posts. It's nice to meet you. -- Tammie Dooley

I agree. Most of my photos tend to be of horses or candids of people, but I wouldn't say I am a certain type of photographer. I just like to see what the best photo I can take regardless of its title.

I ask myself the same question everyday. I'm an amateur, and thought I would just stick to travel & landscapes, and portraits of my kids, but the more photos I saw, the more interested I became in other styles. I have taken on sports, landscape, portraits, macro, events, street, long exposures, and travel. The differences between them are astonishing, but I love them all. I don't think I could pick just one to settle in to. A professional, on the other hand, usually specializes in one area, but will at least take travel photos from a vacation, or family portraits, so I guess there are always opportunities to spread their wings a bit. I find to the untrained eye, many can't tell the difference between the photographers of different specialties, until they compare them. Even within a niche, there are different levels of creativity and skills. But, I totally agree with you. I would not want a macro photographer taking photos of my kid playing indoor basketball in a poorly lit gym!
