Black & White Contest Winners announced!

I’m ready to announce the winners of the black and white photo contest, but first I have to tell you, it was probably one of the most difficult contests to judge.  I spent a good part of the weekend reviewing all the submissions again and again.  I must admit that every category presented a challenge in picking a winner.  The incredible talent, backed by amazing images made judging a difficult task, but at the end of the day I feel as though we’ve picked the “best.”   The winning photos have simply left me inspired, and I hope they will do the same for you.

The Abstract/Object Winners:
The Coffee Pot by Peter Rose

The Coffee Pot by Peter Rose

First Place: “The Coffee Pot” by Peter Rose.  The light from the window brings out the texture in the pot as well as balancing the image.  This is a timeless photo that just can’t get out of our minds.

The Landscape Winners:

"Move On Down The Line" by Victoria Fatum

First Place: “Move On Down The Line” by Victoria Fatum.   Far from a static image, the lines of the train tracks bring you into the photo while the bridge beams  keep you moving back and forth, up and down; all with that dramatic sky as a backdrop.

A Cold Lonely Goodbye by Peter Rose

It’s truly an honor to be able to judge the work of so many talented photographers.  You folks are amazing and have inspired me to work harder.  Thanks again for playing along….John
