Usually something just catches my eye and I want to photograph it. Obviously if it catches my eye, I'm drawn to it because of some part of my personality, my psyche. I'm reminded of something Walker Evans said, "I go to the street for the education of my eye and for the sustenance that the eye needs- the hungry eye, and my eye is hungry." Funny, speaking of the street- I take lots of pics of asphalt! They are some of my favorites actually! You can see them on my website. Now what does THAT say about my personality??? :o)

Yes... my personality is reflected in my photography. My images are all over the place. My images tend to be unorganized. Some of my images are just plain silly. Some are just too damn serious. Some are rather goofy. Some make you laugh. Some make you cry. Some you just like to have around just because they make you feel happy. Most are very engaging make you feel like you were part of the moment. Some images do not adhere to the "rules." Most hopefully just make you "feel" something and "think" less.

Yes, my personality comes through, although you'd probably get better info if you asked our friends if our personality shows through.

I like abandoned anything. I hate for things to be labeled 'used up' or 'junk'... another hobby is refinishing furniture!

I'm just learning photography and am a huge fan of this site and your FB postings - it's so great that you're willing to actually interact with all of us.

You keep up the fantastic work and I'll keep learning...

I would say "Yes!", absolutely. My photographs reflect my personality. I always consider the "unseen" - the things that are not as obvious in an individual or a landscape. I much prefer photographing people when they aren't posing. It is my attempt to capture the essence of a life or personality.

In nature, so many things are evolving every moment; a flower is opening, the sun is highlighting a landscape or a cloud bank, a bird settles and fluffs on a branch after having its fill of thistle seeds. There are geometric patterns everywhere and I love to highlight the things that we take for granted or merely overlook in a day.

All of these things and more, inspire me. So perhaps photography is a means to capture and prolong that connection.

Im a Sunrise Freak I have so many pictures of sunrises but when asked why I say Its like everything is new and always new possibiltes with a new day
Being Disabled I always like to see it that way everyday it brings me hope Hope that things can get better or hope that there is a new start always. so i see that sun come up it just puts that light of hope into me so I guess thats part of me if i follow it all the time.

I do think that my personality comes through in what I photograph. I'm an outdoor kind of person. Wandering around the countryside is a joy for me, and that seems to be how I get some of my favorite photos. I'm not patient. Photographing people and wildlife is my least favorite thing to do because of that.
