I love Lightroom’s solid plug-ins, awesome presets, unparalleled RAW handling, non-destructive editing… and I could keep going, folks!

Learn to Use Lightroom Like a Pro

Learning how to use Lightroom’s many features doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I keep my workshops small and intimate which allows me time to answer each student’s questions.

Workshop Details

We will meet at destination TBA in Chicago for a four hour tutorial on Lightroom. Bring your laptop loaded up with Lightroom, a memory card with some images, and we will work together on your images on your computer. You’ll leave with not only increased knowledge and hands on experience with Lightroom, but with beautifully edited photos.

Here’s what we will cover:

Format: RAW, DNG or JPEG
Import: How to import and organize your photos from your flash or SD card
Develop: How to manipulate your photographs to create stunning images.
Presets and Plug-ins: How to create stunning effects with just one click
Export: How to print, upload to Flickr, Smugmug, Facebook, or your website
Slideshow: How to create amazing slideshows
Back-up: Follow my procedure and never lose a file again

And because there’s no way we can cover everything in just one day, I’ll be sending all participants home with a copy of Scott Kelby’s book, Lightroom 3 for Digital Photographers and Lauri Excell’s book, Composition: From Snapshots to Great Shots (yours truly has wrote a chapter for this book on black and white photography). It’s a great resource to have handy no matter what level you’re at.
